# Jail Monke Token

Jail Monke ($JMONKE) is a token on the Base blockchain and functions as the **participation token** for people hurt in the Zkasino scam. It obviously has no legal rights in that sense, but it is intended to give the people working for the community **a way to gauge community sentiment** via a snapshot.org. If those acting for the community believe that a future decision requires community input, they may use this tool.

Importantly, the $JMONKE token contract address on BASE is on the website at jailmonke.com. At this point, **$JMONKE is non-transferable and has no value**, so do not buy any $JMONKE coins anywhere. They are all scams.
